Our Mini Honeymoon

Mini Honeymoon In Colorado

After planning a wedding in 3 weeks, it was only natural for us to book a plane ticket the night before a mini get away!😂 My husband Jospeh is a mailman in his first few years and getting time off can be tricky. After one of his supervisiors heard he was getting married, she gifted him a few days off. As soon as we found out, we booked our tickets! We got engaged in Yosemite National Park and we are trying to hit all national park so we headed for Rocky Mountain National Park!

This is in Rocky Mountain National Park.

What We Did

We hiked...ALOT! It's what we love to do. Like every national park, you need a pass to enter, but its important to note that you need to purchase trail head passes as well. We loved the emerald lakes trail! It was about 3 miles with 3 lakes! It had just snowed the weekend before we arrived but we made the hike, although we should have brought grips for the bottoms of our shoes or hiking poles.

We also drove through RMNP and stopped along the way on all of the trail heads. Be sure to bring lots of water and plenty of snacks! There is no cell phone service in the park, so dont worry about anything outside of that moment. We saw tons of elk, moose and deer!

We also caught a baseball game, went to see the new Top Gun (highly recommend) and ate tons of Whole Foods!

Enjoy some of our photos!
